First off what's a brand?
(American Marketing Association) defines a Brand as-“Name, Term, Design, Symbol, Or Any Other Feature That Identifies One Seller’s Good Or Service As Distinct From Those Of Other Sellers”
Now, what's a personal brand- Well, its a mixture of your personality, the values you hold, skills you have, and the inspiration and vision you have for your business, your work or products you create.
Starbucks is a good example of a brand but when we are talking about personal branding a couple of good examples may come to mind: Ellen, Rachel Ray, and Oprah just to name a few but when you hear their names you probably associate them with something whether that's "be kind to one another", American Talk show host, philanthropist, actress, television producer, television personality, businesswoman, celebrity cook, and author.
You may even have feelings associated with the names listed above.
So you can see the importance of capturing your personal brand correctly, honestly, and professionally. Building a connection with your customers through social media, blogging and your website can mean business growth and a faithful client base.
