How much time and effort goes into even the smallest of wedding day details? I can say from talking to many of my brides, details are being thought about or even worked on sometimes years before the wedding.
So, that reason alone is why every professional photographer should make sure to capture as many details as possible.
Another reason for photographing wedding day details, as a photographer who sells albums, details are a must. These photos are great and really make the album come alive. Even if you don't purchase an album through your photographer you may want to put one together yourself through Mpix or Shutterfly and detail photos can help in your album design.
Oh! And if you are a scrapbooker, think about how much fun you could have adding your carefully thought-out beautiful wedding day details to your scrapbook design.
Lastly, even if you never print the wedding day detail photos and end up keeping them digitally on your computer hard drive, flash drive or Cell Phone, it is always fun to reminisce years later with as much detail as possible. :)
